Sentry's Term Life Insurance - Patriot Term III

Sentry's term life insurance product provides $50,0000 (minimum) of guaranteed level life insurance coverage to age 95, with 10-, 15-, 20- or 30-year level premium options.
Depending on the coverage amount and your age, Patriot Term III can be written on a simplified issue basis for individuals in good health.

Patriot Term III is convertible to permanent whole life insurance during the first five years of the policy. Conversion does not require evidence of insurability. Conversion rules do apply.
The following optional coverages are available in most states:
  • Waiver of Premium – in the event of disability
  • Children's Term Rider – affordable term life insurance for your children

Whole Life

Sentry's Whole Life Insurance – Traditional Whole Life III

Sentry's whole life insurance product provides $25,000 (minimum) of life insurance coverage with, guaranteed cash values, guaranteed level premium and reduced paid-up insurance.
The following optional coverages are available in most states:
  • Waiver of Premium – in the event of disability
  • Children's Term Rider - affordable term life insurance for your children
  • Accidental Death Rider – an optional rider can be purchased that will provide an additional amount of insurance if the insured dies due to an accidental bodily injury.
  • Guaranteed Insurability Rider – provides the option to purchase additional life insurance protection regardless of health at ages 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37 and 40.

Term Life vs Whole Life

What is the difference between term life insurance and whole life insurance?

Term life insurance provides life insurance protection for a specific period of time and a cash benefit upon death. Premiums are generally lower than whole life insurance, but can increase as you grow older.
Whole life insurance, sometimes referred to as permanent insurance, provides life-long protection but at a higher initial premium than term life insurance. Along with a cash benefit upon death, whole life insurance accumulates cash value over time.

Is term life insurance or whole life insurance right for me?

It depends. The lower premium of term life insurance is attractive. However, if you want coverage for a period that extends beyond the original policy length, you will need to re-qualify in order to purchase a new policy. This will likely mean a higher premium as you grow older.
Sentry provides a guaranteed convertibility clause that allows you to convert all or part of a Sentry term life policy to a whole life policy during a specified period of time.
Oftentimes, a combination of term and whole life insurance is the right answer.

Understanding Fixed Annuities

Annuities are often used as retirement savings vehicles. You pay a sum of money that is invested, and, in return, the life insurance company makes specified payments to you or your beneficiaries. Unlike money placed in a savings account, the money invested in a fixed annuity grows on a tax-deferred basis, which allows your money to grow at a faster rate.

Why Save Now for Retirement?

  • You can expect to live longer
  • Inflation impacts future financial needs
  • Health care costs are expected to continue to rise
  • Housing costs will also increase
  • Future of Social Security is uncertain

Retirement Savings Options

With Sentry's Payback Annuity, you can enhance your retirement with flexible contributions, a flexible retirement date and a guaranteed lifetime of income at retirement.
In addition to annuities, Sentry also offers other retirement savings options, including non-qualified, IRAs and Roth IRAs.
Let a Sentry sales representative help you plan for your retirement with the Sentry's Payback Annuity.
